Cadastral GIS Data Specialist (Senior Civil Engineering Specialist)

The Cadastral GIS Data Specialist is a member of the Enterprise GIS Data team, which is part of the six-team GIS & CADD organization residing in the Applications Division of Seattle IT. The Enterprise GIS Data team is responsible for maintaining the common citywide GIS data sets, including cadastral base map layers (e.g. survey control, legal lots and blocks), the street network, addresses, imagery, and dozens of city-wide thematic layers.  The team also maintains GIS data used by the Fire and Police computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems, provides GIS support for a variety of public-safety functions, and manages the GIS Open Data layer updates.

Infrastructure Tools Engineer

The Infrastructure Tools Engineer works within the Infrastructure Tools Team, which directly engineers, designs, unifies, and supports many foundational IT systems. The incumbent will assist with the design, engineering, management, administration, and unification of Remote Access VPN technologies and DHCP/DNS/IPAM services. Additional responsibilities include participating in the Illumio Micro-Segmentation project and expansion of MFA services.

IT Incident Management/Engagement and Escalation Supervisor

Seattle Information Technology is seeking an accomplished, ambitious, and enthusiastic Service Desk Escalation and Engagement Lead to oversee a diverse team of information technology professionals supporting City of Seattle personnel and technology. Seattle IT is transforming into a best-in-class digital services delivery team and the Service Desk is a key component. The IT Incident Management/Engagement and Escalation Supervisor role leads one of the many customer facing teams of Seattle IT and is responsible for: 

  • Providing tier two technical support via phone and self-service to internal employees across the city, managing escalated incidents for high-priority issues, and overseeing and coordinating Service Desk activities related to major (Priority 1 and Priority 2) incidents.
  • The role will manage day-to-day issues and events and create internal and external processes for escalation handling, and root cause analysis to determine and propose process improvements.

Senior IT Business Analyst 

Seattle IT is looking to fill a Term Limited Temporary (TLT) assignment for a senior level IT business analyst with strong technical, analytical, and financial skills for requirements analysis and business process analysis related to a budget system implementation project.  This assignment is anticipated to last eighteen months.  In this role you will be accountable for requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation; business process and workflow mapping; test plan development and execution; and end-user training and documentation.

VMware Systems Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished, enthusiastic VMware Systems Engineer to join a diverse team of information technology professionals on the Virtual Infrastructure team within Security & Infrastructure. The Virtual Infrastructure team provides engineering services for on-premise and cloud-based solutions, develops the methodologies for delivering and managing compute environments at scale, and manages all aspects of the VMware-based virtualization infrastructure that is the foundation for the citywide hosting service.
