The last virtual information session for the 2024 Digital Equity Grant application process will be held Thursday, November 2, from 5 – 6 p.m. Details on how to join the virtual session are below. Digital grant team members will review grant guidelines, applications, and review criteria. The final day to apply for a 2024 Digital Equity Grant is by noon on Thursday, November 9.

Attending the virtual information session is not required to apply for a grant. If you’re interested in learning more, but can’t attend the virtual session, you can watch the recording of the last virtual session, as all the information shared is the same. Organizations can apply for up to $35,000 in funding for the Technology Matching Fund and Digital Navigator Grant digital equity projects. A 25% community match is required. All projects must be completed within one year. If your organization received a 2023 Technology Matching Fund grant, your organization is not eligible for the 2024 funding cycle; however, 2022 and prior year winners may apply. Applications are being accepted through the City of Seattle’s Grants Portal.

Projects should aim to increase internet access and adoption by providing:

  • Digital navigator services: Provide one-on-one or small group, just-in-time assistance in person, virtually, via phone/text/email to help residents (1) use their devices, (2) connect to the internet, and (3) sign up for low-cost internet plans.
  • Digital literacy classes/workshops: Provide digital literacy skills training to new technology users.
  • Devices and technical support: Provide devices and the support needed to use them effectively.
  • Internet connectivity: Provide internet to low-income residents by expanding Wi-Fi or another means.
