City of Seattle Seeks Four Community Members to Serve on Community Technology Advisory Board

by Rosalind Brazel on February 21, 2019

The Community Technology Advisory Board (CTAB) is seeking four community members to serve on CTAB. CTAB advises the Mayor and City Council on policies and issues of community-wide interest relating to information and communications technology.

The Commission is composed of 10 at-large members – six appointed by the Mayor, four appointed by the City Council. One of these positions is filled by a young adult through the Get Engaged program. Currently three Mayoral positions are vacant, and one City Council position is vacant. One vacant position must be filled by someone representing public access to information and communications technology. Members must live or work at an address in the City of Seattle.

CTAB consists of individuals across sectors including private, non-profit, education, and government. Members research technology-related issues and collect public input, encourage, and promote affordable access to and use of information and communications technology. They also advise on emerging issues in technology such as privacy, smart cities, and digital equity.

Those interested in being considered should complete the online application by Monday, March 11 by 5 p.m. If you cannot submit the application online, contact Seferiana Day at (206) 450-4697 or Seferiana.Day2@seattle.gov, and an application will be mailed to you.
